Is Galactic Empires registration free?
Yes. Creating an account is free. Galactic Empires is free to play in your browser with no paid client, no mandatory download, and no credit card required at signup.
What is an empire type?
Empire types are starter specializations you pick at registration. Expander: Gain more colonies faster. Higher credit income from expanded territory, but may face exium shortages. Best when joining early in the round. Miner: Generate bonus exium, the key resource for buildings, tech and units. Can sell surplus exium to other players. Recommended for new players. Technologist: Lab effectiveness bonuses reduce technology research costs. Powerful late-game class but challenging to play. For experienced players. Warmonger: Built for combat. Military bonuses make your fleets and armies hit harder. Ideal for aggressive expansion through conquest.
Can I sign up and play on my phone?
Yes. Galactic Empires runs in your mobile browser with no app store install. Phone-sized browsers are automatically sent to the mobile signup page so the form fits your screen; you use the same account when you log in from a desktop browser later.
What is a Join empire key?
Join empire key is an optional field for an invite or alliance key. Leave it blank if you are starting solo; enter a key if you were given one to join an alliance or referral flow.

Game Rules & Guidelines

Introduction

Galactic Empires must be a fair game. Many games were ruined in the past because of cheaters and administrator passivity. Rules will be taken very seriously and enforced strongly to preserve the fun and credibility of the game.

Multi-Accounting

Each player is allowed to control a single account.

Penalty: If two or more accounts are being played by the same player, they will be permanently banned.

Account Sharing

Each account is entitled to be played by a single player at a time. An account may only be shared under the following conditions:

  • Admin must be notified before sharing at [email protected]
  • An account may only be shared for a maximum period of 2 consecutive days.

Exploit Abuse

Using a bug for anyone's profit or deliberately not reporting a bug is strictly forbidden.

Important: You must report any bug you find immediately.
Penalty: Exploit abuse will be punished with a permanent ban.

Scripting

Using a program as an interface between the player and the game is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Bots
  • Macros
  • Automated galaxy databases
Penalty: Scripting will be punished with a permanent ban.

Proxies

The use of a proxy or any method with the purpose of hiding your identity in the game interface is forbidden.

Exception: The use of a proxy to create a connection between the game and the player is allowed only after notifying [email protected]

Spam

Any situation intended to saturate a player's interface is forbidden. This includes:

  • Personal Messages spam
  • Probes spam
  • Forum spam
Penalty: Spam will be punished with a temporary or permanent ban.

Content

Anything that causes offense by being of an unacceptable quality that may hurt an individual's integrity is strictly forbidden.
